Generation Hacker Afterschool Program

Local Edgewater business Emagineif is launching an afterschool program to teach middle and high school students how to code. Students will learn Java programming from University of Denver faculty and students. The program will be housed in various Jefferson County Schools and will take place two days a week. The cost for a six week session will be $140. If there is enough demand for the program locally, one of the sites will be at Jefferson High School.

More details available at the Generation Hacker website.

With computer coding programs at Edgewater Elementary provided by Open World Learning and a possible expansion to Lumberg Elementary in the fall, a computer coding pipeline is developing in Edgewater.
