Media Release from Edgewater Police Department:
On June 20, 2014, at about 3:30 PM, several individuals reported that baby ducklings were trapped in a drainage pipe in the area of the 1700 block of Sheridan Boulevard. A female employee of the Police Department donned coveralls and ventured into the drainage pipe containing stagnant water to recover the ducklings and reunite them with their mother duck.
Joel has been a resident of Edgewater, Colorado with his family since 2012. He is the Executive Director of local education nonprofit Edgewater Collective and Editor of the Edgewater Echo.
