Edgewater Planning and Zoning Vacancy

Applications are being accepted to fill Term No. 5 on the Edgewater Planning & Zoning Commission. This commission consists of five (5) members, appointed by the Mayor. The term of the Commissioner serving under Term No. 5 will expire on August 31, 2019.

Qualifications are as follows:

  • Registered taxpaying elector.
  • Must be a resident of the City for at least one (1) year immediately preceding the date of their appointment.
  • No member shall be an elected official, officer, or employee of the City.
  • No convictions for embezzlement, bribery, solicitation of bribery, perjury, or any offense involving fraud

The Commission reviews Site Development Plans, Planned Unit Developments, rezoning requests, and any other type of changes to the City’s zoning ordinances. They prepare, adopt, and may amend the City’s Master Plan. The Commission also assists the Mayor and City Council with plans for capital improvements.

Meetings: 2nd Wednesday of each month. Meeting Place: City Hall, 2401 Sheridan Blvd.

Applications are available at the City Clerk’s Office, 2401 Sheridan Boulevard and will be accepted until July 11, 2014 at 5:00 pm.
