Daily life in Edgewater, Colorado has made it into the annals of poetry with a poem about a trip to the supermarket formerly known as Cub Foods by the poet Ed Dorn.

The late poet Ed Dorn passed away from cancer in December 1999 here in Denver, Colorado. Dorn was an American documentary poet and teacher best known for a poem titled “Gunslinger.” Before he passed away he wrote a number of poems which were published posthumously in 2012 under the title “Collected Poems.”

One of the poems at the end of “Collected Poems” is titled “Sketches of Edgewater” and beautifully chronicles a trip to Edgewater’s Cub Foods.
