On April 18, 2015, at about 3:10 AM, an officer on routine patrol noticed a vehicle weaving in the 2200 block of Sheridan Boulevard. When the officer contacted the driver, a 22-year-old male resident of Denver, he was arrested and issued a Jefferson County Court summons for failing to operate his vehicle in a single lane of traffic, failing to present evidence of insurance upon request and DUI.
On April 21, 2015, at about 6:25 PM, an officer on routine patrol observed a vehicle with a defective taillight occupied by two male suspects. The officer began to follow the vehicle in an attempt to stop it for the equipment violation and additional traffic violations. When the officer was able to determine the vehicle license plate, he learned that the vehicle was stolen in Wheat Ridge on April 18, 2015. The vehicle failed to stop for the officer and he began a short vehicle pursuit that was terminated due to the nature of the offense and the manner in which the vehicle was being driven. The officer recovered some physical evidence that was discarded from the stolen vehicle during the pursuit that may aid in the identification of the suspects in the vehicle.
Later on April 21, 2015, at about 9:10 PM, officers responded to a residence in the 6900 block of W. 25th Avenue regarding a noise complaint. When the officers contacted the 34- year-old female resident in the apartment unit, she refused to comply with their directions and became physically combative. The officers managed to take her into custody with minimal force, but she sustained a minor injury when she slammed her head into the prisoner cage in a patrol vehicle. The suspect was treated for her minor injury at a local hospital, then arrested and booked into the Jefferson County Jail for harassment and disorderly conduct.

On April 23, 2015, at about 6:00 AM, an officer responded to an apartment complex in the 6200 block of W. 26th Avenue regarding an unwanted party who was the ex- boyfriend of one of the residents in the apartment complex. The unwanted party was driving back and forth in front of the resident’s apartment on 26th Avenue at a high rate of speed. Officers located the vehicle and contacted the driver, a 36-year-old male resident of Edgewater, who was arrested for menacing, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, drinking an alcoholic beverage in a vehicle, driving his vehicle while his license was suspended and DUI and booked into Jefferson County Jail.
Later on April 23, 2015, at about 10:00 AM, an officer responded to an apartment complex in the 2700 block of Ingalls Street regarding a stolen vehicle report. The vehicle was stolen sometime between 4:30 PM on April 22, 2015 and 10:00 AM on April 23, 2015. Within 90 minutes of reporting the vehicle stolen, it was recovered by the Denver Police Department in the 2400 block of Stuart Street and returned to the owner.
During the overnight, early morning hours on April 24, 2015, three (3) vehicles were entered in the 1800-1900 block of Fenton Street. It appears that all three (3) vehicles were left unlocked. The only item removed from the vehicle was a registration card for one of the vehicles.
Sometime between 12:05 PM and 12:07 PM on April 25, 2015, a dark blue 1997 Honda Accord was stolen from the King Soopers parking lot at 1725 Sheridan Boulevard. The time of the theft was so accurately identified because the parking lot is under video surveillance and the vehicle disappeared from the video surveillance within those two (2) minutes, although no suspects were visible.
On April 30, 2015, at about 3:00 AM, an officer on routine patrol observed a driver in the 5300-5500 blocks of W. 26th Avenue commit several traffic violations in a vehicle with defective equipment. When the officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, a 21-year-old male resident of Edgewater, he was arrested and issued a Jefferson County Court summons for defective license plate light, weaving, failing to present evidence of vehicle insurance upon request and DUI.
On May 1, 2015, at about 2:50 AM, an officer on routine patrol observed a driver in the 5600 block of W. 20th Avenue commit several traffic violations. When the officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, a 33-year-old female resident of Denver, she was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County Jail for weaving, failing to present evidence of vehicle insurance upon request, DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance, i.e. 9 grams of methamphetamine.
On May 1, 2015, at about 9:20 PM, an officer on routine patrol in the 5500 block of W. 20th Avenue observed a vehicle weaving in between traffic lanes. When the officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, a 48-year-old male resident of Lakewood, he was arrested and issued a summons to Jefferson County Court for weaving and DUI.
On May 1, 2015, at about 11:30 PM, an officer monitoring vehicle traffic in the 2500 block of Sheridan Boulevard noticed a speeding vehicle. When the officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, a 24-year-old male resident of Denver, he was arrested and issued a Jefferson County Court summons for speeding, failing to use his vehicle’s turn signals, failing to present evidence of vehicle insurance upon request and DUI.
On May 2, 2015, at about 2:00 AM, an officer on routine patrol in the 5500 block of W. 20th Avenue observed a vehicle fail to proceed through a green traffic light, causing other vehicles to drive around the stopped vehicle. When the officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, a 32-year-old male resident of Evans, he was arrested and issued a summons to Jefferson County Court for impeding the flow of traffic, failing to present evidence of vehicle insurance upon request and DUI.
On May 2, 2015, at about 9:30 AM, officers responded to a residence in the 2600 block of Ingalls Street to check on the welfare of a resident. The officers’ investigation revealed that the male and female resident became involved in a physical domestic violence incident the previous night. The 26-year-old female resident in the apartment was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County Jail for 3rd degree assault, criminal mischief and domestic violence.
On May 2, 2015, at about 11:00 PM, officers responded to a call for service regarding a fight in the 2600 block of Kendall Street where they located a group of between 10 and 15 people screaming and yelling in the parking lot. When the officers attempted to disperse the group, they refused to cooperate and verbally challenged the officers. One individual, a 24-year-old male resident of Edgewater, was particularly aggressive toward the officers. As he was being taken into custody for disorderly conduct, additional officers had to respond to the scene to ensure the safety of the arresting officers and disperse the group. The male resident arrested was issued a summons to Edgewater Municipal Court for disorderly conduct.
Sometime between 6:00 PM on May 2, 2015 and 9:30 AM on May 3, 2015, a 1997 Honda Civic was stolen from a parking lot in the 2800 block of Kendall Street.
On May 3, 2015, at about 1:35 AM, officers responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Sheridan Boulevard regarding a loud verbal dispute that escalated into a physical altercation between a male and a female. The female was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries to her head and face. A 23-year-old male resident of Edgewater was arrested and booked into Jefferson County Jail for 3rd degree assault and possession of a controlled substance, i.e. cocaine, while another 23-year-old male resident of Lakewood was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County Jail for violation of a protection order and two outstanding arrest warrants.
