This Public Notice is to inform all interested people how to obtain a random choice lottery application in order to be considered for possible placement on the Jefferson County Housing Authority’s (JCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and/or placement on the Project Based Waiting Lists
JCHA will accept online applications for its Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) Lottery Pool beginning 8:00 am Tuesday, June 9, 2015, until 11:59 pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Applications for the Project Based Program will remain open until further notice.
Applications must be submitted online at http://www.waitlistcheck.com/CO2744. Applications WILL NOT be available at the Jefferson County Housing Authority office.
The Jefferson County Public Libraries (JCPL) has computers available to the public. If you do not have a computer, you may complete your application by visiting your local library. Check JCPL’s website for hours of operation at http://jefferson.lib.co.us.
If you require assistance completing the online application, you may obtain assistance at the following locations (these are only walk-in sites):

All of the lottery applications will be randomly drawn. The initial drawing will be held on June 15, 2015. The lottery winners (first selected applications) will be posted at JCHA’s website at www.jcha.org. Lottery winners will be eligible to apply for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. Directions to apply for JCHA’s Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program will be sent to the lottery winners when they are formally notified in writing. Each time the lottery is opened, the previously submitted lottery applications will be destroyed. It is anticipated that lotteries will be opened annually.
