From Edgewater Police Chief John Mackey:
On December 20, 2015 at about 10 AM Edgewater Officers received a report of an indecent exposure at the drive up window of the Starbucks, 2255 Sheridan Blvd. The clerks reported that a male driving a silver Volkswagen with Colorado tags had exposed himself while purchasing coffee. The clerks advised officers that it was the second time that the man had come to the store and exposed himself. Edgewater Officers subsequently followed up on the report, and located the vehicle in the 1600 block of Fenton Street. A Lakewood man was subsequently contacted for the incident and lodged in the Jefferson County Jail for the crime of indecent exposure.
Puffers: Edgewater Officers received two reports this week of residents having their vehicles stolen while they were left unlocked, running and unattended in front of their homes.
Traffic Enforcement: Officers have conducted traffic enforcement regularly throughout the city this past week. The officers contacted several drivers operating with revoked licenses, several registration violations, and no insurance, speeding and careless driving violations. In addition the following drivers were found to be driving under the influence the previous week.
Edgewater Officers arrested multiple persons for DUI this period:
27 year old male Denver resident was arrested for Felony DUI, as he had 3 prior DUI convictions and was revoked as a Habitual Traffic Offender.
24 year old male Commerce City resident.
39 year old female Denver resident.
49 year old male Aurora resident.
Edgewater Officers arrested multiple persons for shoplifting this period:
36 year old female Denver resident.
38 year old male Lakewood resident.
In addition, Officers responded to calls of possession of drugs, multiple intoxicated persons, vandalism, violation of protection orders and warrant arrests.
