Hello Friends and Neighbors,

I wish you a happy Tuesday and would like to share some updates with you.

West Metro/Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District Merger Election-  West Metro and Wheat Ridge have merged and are operating as one fire district under an intergovernmental agreement.  The actual vote will decide on whether to dissolve the Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District and include their properties into the new district.  This vote will not include a tax increase.  In fact, property taxes will be a shade lower with West Metro.  You can cast your vote at the Edgewater Recreation Center Tuesday, October 4th from 7am-7pm, located at 5845 W. 25th Ave. (25th and Gray).  If you have any questions, please visit http://westmetrofire.org.

Civic Center Election-  Please visit the website Civic Center website HERE for more information.  Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this ballot initiative.

Mayor Town Hall-  Please join me at the Plaza Monday Oct. 3rd (2250 Eaton St.) from 5:30pm-7:30pm for our next town hall.  Police Chief John Mackey will be joining us to discuss the Edgewater Police Department and relevant issues.  We will also be discussing the ballot initiatives that are important to you.  This town hall will be community-oriented and conversational!

Senior Connections Fall Day of Service-  Come help out our elders for the 3rd annual Fall Day of Service Saturday, Oct. 1st, 9am-12pm.  We shall be gathering at the Recreation Room at 25th & Gray before we head out into the community.  Please call Felica at 720-763-3042 if you have any questions.

I wanted to give a shout out to the Edgewater Walks participants, the Farmer’s Market folks, and everybody who had a block party!  It is all of you who make this place the greatest city to call home!  As always, do not hesitate to contact me for any reason.  Have a great rest of your week.

Sincerely,

Kris
