Sheridan Closures for Denver Water Work

From Denver Water’s Matt Wittern:

Dear Neighbor,

As part of our ongoing effort to provide a reliable water supply and maintain water quality, Denver Water and our contractors, Concrete Works of Colorado and T. Lowell, will soon be performing maintenance work in your neighborhood. We are committed to performing this work as quickly and safely as possible with the goal of minimizing inconvenience to the public.

Location: We will be working in the underground vaults at 29th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard that house valves that are part of Denver Water’s distribution system. The work zone will extend north to 32nd Avenue.

Tentative Schedule and Traffic Impacts: Please see table on reverse. We STRONGLY encourage motorists to follow posted detours and avoid Sheridan Boulevard while this work is being performed.

Work Hours: Typically between 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., though there are contingency plans in place in case we need to perform work at night to meet the schedule. If night work is required, we will conform to the requirements specified in Denver’s Noise Ordinance for construction work in residential areas.

Water Outages: You will receive a separate notification if you will experience water outages during this period.

News and Updates: Visit the project website at www.denverwater.org/sheridan, or call the 24-hour project hotline at 303-628-6788 for the latest lane and road closure information. Neighbors who use Nextdoor.com, the free online neighborhood bulletin board system, will receive updates through that platform as well.

Thank you in advance for your patience as we work to upgrade this important piece of water infrastructure. Please contact me directly if you have questions or concerns.
