Traffic Advisory 29th and Sheridan Update

From the City of Edgewater:

Starting at 4 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, a Denver Water contractor will reduce Sheridan Boulevard to one open lane in each direction between West 28th Avenue and West 32nd Avenue to accommodate the final phase of vital water system upgrades. West 29th Avenue will also be closed from Ames Street to Sheridan Boulevard.

This configuration will last approximately one week. At that point Sheridan Boulevard will reopen and West 29th Avenue will close from Sheridan Boulevard to Zenobia Street for an additional week.

This work marks the final phase of a project to upgrade portions of an underground vault which began in mid-April.

Denver Water has notified customers who may experience water outages during this project.

For more information, members of the public are encouraged to call the project hotline at 303-628-6788, or visit www.denverwater.org/sheridan.

Vaults are underground rooms with valves used to control the pressure and flow of water through pipes. This upgrade is part of an ongoing effort to maintain Denver Water’s aging infrastructure and will improve the reliability of water service for the area.
