East Edgewater is going to be a busy place this upcoming weekend. The weekend of July 29 brings two festivals to the Edgewater area and with it will come increased options for fun. The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival is coming to Sloan’s Lake on July 29 and 30. For 17 years this great celebration of Colorado’s rich and diverse Asian community has been happening at Sloan’s Lake. Saturday and Sunday will be full of dragon boat races, performing arts, activities for children and much more.

The Blues and BBQ for Better Housing Festival will be across the street at Citizen’s Park in Edgewater on Saturday, July 29. Enjoy local music, craft beer and delicious BBQ to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity. An all day pass is $10 but does not include food or drink.
