Holiday Giving Tree: This year the Optimist Club is joining forces with the Santa’s Workshop crew to make sure that our kids in Edgewater have a good holiday!

Please choose an age group, selecting either girl or boy, then purchase as many presents as you wish.  They should not be wrapped (price tags removed would be helpful) and they can be returned here to City Hall, no later than December 14th. the parents of Lumberg and Edgewater Elementary kids will be invited to the workshop and will pick out presents for their children.

Snow Angels: Currently the City of Edgewater is in need of snow shoveling, VOLUNTEERS. Volunteers must submit an application and clear a basic background screen before they can be assigned to a senior. The City of Edgewater works to assign the approved volunteer to a senior within the same block, or as close to the volunteer’s residence as possible. Volunteers, once assigned, are given 24 hours after a storm to clear the sidewalks around the senior’s home. We encourage volunteers to do this as soon as possible as we want to make sure seniors can get in and out of their homes after a storm. City staff works to fill in for volunteers that are out of town during a storm.

Volunteers tend to not only provide the snow shoveling but also help engage seniors in the community. Many times, we learn about other needs seniors may have through volunteers that have this connection. If you are looking for a rewarding way to give back to your community and become a Snow Angel please contact Patrick Martinez at 720-763-3010 or find us on-line at www.playedgewater.com under “volunteer opportunities” and “snow angel program”.

Gold Crown: Gold Crown will be doing their Grand Opening tonight in conjunction with the Lighting Ceremony. Please stop by to check out the remodeled space.

Civic Center
Construction: The Civic Center site has gone through some big changes in the past few weeks. Currently the basement area has been excavated and we expect concrete and retaining wall to happen in the next two weeks. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather stays warm though the concrete work!

Code Enforcement
Graffiti Removal Program: In an effort to fast track the clean-up of graffiti in Edgewater, the City provides a clean up program. The City of Edgewater will remove the graffiti through our Graffiti Removal Program. Please visit our web site for the form and return to the City of Edgewater for graffiti removal on your property. For graffiti on other properties in the City, please contact Code Enforcement at 720-459-3297 or codeenforcement@edgewaterco.com. A special thanks to Ace Hardware of Edgewater for providing paint and supplies for this program.
