Here’s an interview with David Diaz, the owner of Edgewater’s newest fitness business, Fitness Together. It is located on the top floor of the old Masonic Temple which is located at 5700 W 25th Ave.
How did you get involved in this business?
I started teaching and coaching back in the mid-nineties. I coached and taught within DPS for 9 years. I taught everything from Pre-Algebra to Calculus. My coaching tenure concluded at North High School. We made the state playoffs 3 out of 5 years that I coached and produced 7 college athletes, and 2 of those played professional.
What drew you to open a business in Edgewater?
I live within walking distance of Edgewater, just across Sheridan and after 9 years of business in the Highlands we thought it would be a great opportunity to expand.
What services do you offer?
We offer private one on one personal training along with small group personal training. No bigger than 3 on 1.
What makes you unique from other fitness centers?
What make us different is that all of our sessions are conducted in private. There is never a wait for equipment, minimal distractions and your trainer has 100% focus on you. Most of our clients would like to lose a little weight and gain a little muscle. Today we have helped 3 people lose over 100 lbs. yet we have also helped pro and weekend athletes build strength and endurance. No matter what your fitness goals are we are confident we can assist you in getting there.
