From Edgewater Police Chief John Mackey:
On Halloween, Edgewater Officers conducted extra bicycle and vehicle patrols throughout the city to assist trick or treater’s during the evening hours.
On October 26, 2015 between 11:30 AM and 2 PM an unknown person stole a residents Fed Ex package from their porch in the 2600 block of Eaton Street.
On October 23, 2015 at about 5:30 AM an unknown person attempted to steal a resident’s 1995 Black Honda which had been left unlocked and unattended in the 2200 block of Harlan Street. The resident interrupted the thieves during the course of their attempted theft and the unknown suspect(s) drove off in an older model dark colored sport utility vehicle – possibly a Ford Explorer.
Edgewater Officers responded multiple times this reporting period to a residence in the 1800 block of Depew Street on reports of attempted burglaries and violations of a Protection Order. Officers subsequently located the suspect in this ongoing case and lodged him in the Jefferson County Jail on several criminal charges.

55 year old male Lakewood resident.
Additionally Officers arrested two males as Habitual Traffic Offenders

Edgewater Officers arrested multiple persons for Shoplifting this period:
23 year old male Lakewood resident.
29 year old male Englewood resident.
33 year old male Denver resident.
37 year old male South Dakota resident.
40 year old male Lakewood resident.
54 year old male Lakewood resident.
55 year old male Longmont resident.
Edgewater Officers continued their investigation of the Fast Cash Pawn Robbery alongside the ATF, and several additional leads were recovered and acted on this reporting period – case continues.
