School is out and the long days are here, which means it’s time to catch up on reading that novel you have sitting by your bed. The Jefferson County Public Library has launched another Summer Reading Program with the goal of Jefferson County residents reading 26.2 million minutes this summer.
This Thursday, June 2, there will be a kickoff event at the Edgewater Library (5843 W 25th Ave.) from 4-8 pm. There will be a face painter and free water bottles for all those who sign up. This reading program isn’t just for kids. Adults can participate and win prizes from McDonalds, Chipotle and the Jeffco Library Foundation book sale.
You can learn more about the Summer Reading Program and sign up online here.
