Today we are spotlighting one of our newest businesses in Edgewater, Integrative Health Denver. They are located at 5700 W. 25th Avenue on the second floor with Fitness Together and Titanium Fitness. Here’s our interview with owner Jennifer Leonard:
How did you get involved in this business?
I worked in hospitals and saw the need to address the whole person and educate each patient about their illness or disease. I also found that when people are educated and empowered to practice self care, they need less visits to other care providers to manage their health. I wanted to create a team of practitioners that would facilitate both the health and wellness side while providing preventive education and care.
What drew you to open a business in Edgewater?
I find Edgewater to be a proactive community that is diverse and open to new ways of thinking and addressing their health. Edgewater feels like a inclusive, supportive community of small businesses that I am excited to be a part of.
What services/products do you offer?
Integrative Health Denver is a community of health and wellness practitioners and educators. We work to help people find their personal wellness plans and learn how to stay healthy on their own. We provide acupuncture, herbal medicine, stress management education, dietary medicine, aromatherapy, reiki, myofascial release and collaborate with physical therapy, personal training, massage, chiropractic and yoga
What makes your business unique?
We help people find a balanced state of health and teach them how to maintain that place of balance. We connect people with an individualized plan that includes practitioners and education to get well and stay well. Integrative Health is a partner in your wellness journey.
Joel has been a resident of Edgewater, Colorado with his family since 2012. He is the Executive Director of local education nonprofit Edgewater Collective and Editor of the Edgewater Echo.
