Thriving schools are at the core of a thriving community. Thriving schools train up and inspire the workforce and leadership of tomorrow. In Edgewater we are blessed with three neighborhood schools: Edgewater Elementary, Lumberg Elementary and Jefferson Junior/Senior High. But with the Jeffco Schools 3A/3B school funding ballot initiative failing last week, our schools need our community now more than ever.
Edgewater Collective is hosting an Edgewater Community Meeting along with the partners working on the Jefferson Success Pathway project on Monday, November 14. The meeting will start at 7 pm in the library at Jefferson Junor/Senior High (2305 Pierce Street). At the meeting, the 2016 Jefferson Success Pathway Community Report will be unveiled.
School data will be shared as well as progress towards every child in the 80214 area having the resources and empowering supports to succeed from cradle to career. The meeting will also share about the efforts to improve our schools and ways that local residents and business owners can get involved in our local schools.
