From Edgewater Officer Mike Nesbitt’s Family:
Officer Nesbitt is still in the ICU. He was extubated this morning and breathing on his own. He is in a lot of pain but able to talk and briefly visit with his daughters . His recovery is nothing short of miraculous. Rest is paramount in his recovery so visitation is limited to family for one more day.
The outpouring of concern and well wishes from the Edgewater community and so many others was shared with Michael this morning. He was visibly overwhelmed.
A GoFundMe page is established. I learned that the application charges the family 5% for each donation and other fees. I’m establishing another method for donations to the family and hope to have it active by Wednesday 06/27.
