In light of the sobering news out of Colorado Springs and the shooting of another member of the Colorado law enforcement community, we want to give community members a way to support our Edgewater Police Officers and their families.
A fund has been set up through local nonprofit Edgewater Collective to provide direct support for Edgewater Police Officers and their families. 100% of the funds will go to purchase gift cards for officers to go out to dinner with their families or loved ones. Gift cards will be under $50 to abide by the state rules around gifts to public servants.
The recent shootings of police officers in Colorado hit home with members of the law enforcement, their families and loved ones. This is a chance for us as a community to come together and support our Edgewater officers and their families in a tangible way.
Goal: Raise $400 so we can provide $25 restaurant gift certificates to the 16 Edgewater officers and detectives.
Progress: $92 raised so far and $308 left to our goal
If you would like to write a check, make it out to Edgewater Collective and write EPD in the memo line and mail it to:
