From Xerxes Steirer:
This Tuesday’s Sustainable Edgewater Seminar is all about fruit trees and fruit production. As we enter an abundant harvest year, we’ll learn more about the do’s and don’t of harvesting from our local fruit orchard expert Anthony Murray. Anthony runs a high density orchard on a half acre in Commerce City called Goldengreens, LLC. His orchard includes 50 different varieties of fruit and around 200 berry bushes. Prior to this orchard, he ran a range of vegetable farms for the last six years from a 35 acre farm in Virginia to a quarter acre farm in Golden. He finds joy and passion in sharing tips or lending a hand to help people to grow their own food and shop locally. In addition, Anthony is the Parks Manager for the City of Edgewater and the Farmers Market Coordinator as well.
The Edgewater Sustainability Seminar is held at the Edgewater Library at 25th and Gray. Seminars are regularly on the third Tuesday of each month throughout 2018 starting at 7 pm.
