From Colorado Senior Connections:
“Colorado Senior Connections (CSC) is a program of Jewish Family Service of Colorado (JFS) and has been a proud provider of community engagement and care management services throughout Edgewater and Wheat Ridge for many years. Unfortunately, funding for the program is ending on October 31, 2018, and as a result, JFS is modifying its services in the area.
JFS is committed to continuing to serve both communities in a variety of ways, including providing care management assistance and homemaker services. Because of the funding cuts, JFS will no longer be able to offer free care management services but offers a reasonable sliding-fee scale for those still in need. We will also be cutting back on the activities and classes we offer and this will be our last program guide. However, we will continue to serve as a resource for residents in the community who want to stay connected.
It has been a privilege to serve the people of Edgewater and Wheat Ridge with vital support services over the past few years and we look forward to continuing to do so, in a slightly different way. We hope that we have helped to build a sense of community and improved your quality of life. We will continue to connect people to resources and services in the community, so for questions regarding services available from JFS, please contact our main office at 303.597.5000.”
All “on-going” groups and classes will continue to meet in the Edgewater Rec Room THROUGH the month of November and then will be relocated to the new City of Edgewater Civic Center! Same times and days and facilitated by our loyal volunteers and city staff!
