Alumni of Jefferson High School in Edgewater came together to honor their longtime teacher, Mr. George Heath, on Saturday night. Mr. Heath taught social studies and foreign language at Jefferson from 1961 to 1993. Other former teachers were in attendance and shared about Mr. Heath’s love for learning and care for students. Jefferson alumnus and Colorado Supreme Court Justice Brian Boatright could not be attendance but sent a letter that was shared with the audience (click here to read the letter).

We will be honoring the state championship basketball (1957 and 1959), baseball (1968) and cross country (1959) teams during halftime of the basketball game
Then in April, Jefferson alumni who serve or have served as first responders will be honored at an alumni gathering.
