Positive change for students is happening at Jefferson Junior/Senior High School and changing perceptions of Edgewater’s neighborhood high school. Yesterday the Colorado Department of Education released the graduation rates for the Class of 2018. Jefferson Junior/Senior High School saw an increase in the four year graduation rate from 75% for the Class of 2017 to 77.6% for the Class of 2018.
Jefferson Principal Michael James shared the credit for the improvement, “We are proud as a staff that we have increased the graduation rate by 12.5% over the past five years. Through hard work and dedicated staff members, we continuously have improved what we are doing as a staff to engage students and families in the educational process at Jefferson.”
Principal Michael James started as an Assistant Principal in 2014 and transitioned to Principal in 2015.
Great work students, families, teachers and staff!
