By Lilly Steirer, Edgewater Sustainability Committee
Come to the Edgewater Sustainability Committee Open House on April 9th, from 6-7:30pm at Edgewater’s Civic Center, 1800 Harlan St. The newly formed Sustainability Committee will be gathering information from residents about how community members view the City’s current efforts and where they would like to see sustainability develop in the future.
Enjoy treats and drinks at the Open House while also finding out more information from local sustainability leaders, including Edgewater’s Arborist, Bill Cassel, Republic Waste Services, Edgewater Library’s Sustainability Seminar, and Denver Urban Garden’s Master Composters.
In addition, take Edgewater’s Sustainability Survey through April 10th. Save paper and take it online through this link or fill out a paper copy at the Civic Center, 1800 Harlan St.
The Edgewater Sustainability Committee was formed by City Council resolution last year. They have been tasked with researching and developing a Sustainability Plan that will be potentially approved by City Council this summer. Your participation in the survey and Open House will ensure that the Sustainability Plan reflects the true value of our community.
