From Virgie Carr:
EDGEWATER CITY OF CHOICE
Hi, I’m Virgie Carr and I’m running for mayor.
I’m a long-time resident of Edgewater and an alumnus of Jefferson High. I attend City Council meetings, including workshops and retreats, and Planning and Zoning Commission meetings. I have served on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
As mayor, I would:
- be available to listen to your wishes and concerns for our city by having weekly meetings,
- support our local schools,
- support sustainability – check out my recycled signs,
- support maintaining our community’s unique character,
- support bringing back some Edgewater traditions and starting some new ones,
Edgewater has always been a leader for the communities that surround us,
Edgewater is the City of Choice and it is my choice to love it, live here, and serve.
Change is the only constant in our lives. It’s up to us to make change positive for our city.
Come talk to me. What do you love about Edgewater? What would you do to make it better? What programs would you like to have? What do you want someone to hear? I want to hear your visions, concerns, etc. for Edgewater.
Come talk with me and have a cup of coffee or tea at Griffin Coffee Shop on October 8th from 10 to 11:30 a.m. or on October 16th from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m.
Come talk with me and have a beer at Joyride on October 9th from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Joel has been a resident of Edgewater, Colorado with his family since 2012. He is the Executive Director of local education nonprofit Edgewater Collective and Editor of the Edgewater Echo.
