We love supporting local businesses by sharing about the services and products they offer as well as the stories of why the business got started. Today we are spotlighting the newest business on 25th Avenue, Bonnie Brae Lighting & Repair.
Here’s our interview with owners Chris and Kim Bossenbery :
How did you get involved in this business?
My wife and I purchased the store almost four years ago from the second family that had owned it for the last twenty-six years. They were friends of my wife’s sister. I have been an electrician for over thirty years and my wife has a retail management background.
What drew you to move to Edgewater?
We chose to relocate to Edgewater because it has the small town feel we felt would be a perfect setting for our business. And so far, we opened last Thursday, and have been welcomed by quite a few neighbors already.
What services and products do you offer?
We repair all types of lighting and restore and sell antique and vintage lighting, and we also do custom lighting. A couple of our more high profile restorations have been the exterior lights from the governors mansion and the original crystal chandelier that still hangs in the Coors family home on the back of the brewery property.
What makes your business unique?
We are one of the last dedicated lighting repair companies in Colorado and the only one owned and operated by a licensed Colorado electrician. We also have the largest selection of antique and vintage lighting around.
Bonnie Brae Lighting & Repair is located at 5705 West 25th Avenue.

Great interview and spotlight on a business. This type of writing is appreciated for businesses especially up-and-coming businesses that could use the extra help to be recognized.
