From the City of Edgewater:
The City of Edgewater has been working diligently on 25th Avenue to provide extended space for businesses after Gov. Polis’ new open-business guidelines. We know many of you are working hard to open with the new safety standards, so please spread the word to your neighbors about the layout. Thank you for your dedication to the community!
By changing 25th Avenue to a one-way street it allows us to only have one lane of traffic in the middle which will allow for additional space for patio seating. We will be placing barricades and additional protection measures around those areas to ensure the safety of the patrons. We have worked with traffic engineers on the plan and will also be eliminating on-street parking in some areas. This is a temporary measure, but as we don’t know the timing of how long COVID-19 will impact businesses we anticipate it could be in place for months. Our goal is to try and support our businesses by giving them additional areas to use for outdoor seating since they have been closed and have to reduce the number of patrons inside.
