Sustainable Pop-up Market Coming to Edgewater Food Hall in Celebration of Earth Day

 

From the Edgewater Public Market:

Inspired by Earth Day, Edgewater Public Market will host an outdoor sustainable pop-up market called ecoMRKT on Saturday, April 24, to highlight local artisans and services dedicated to eco-friendly practices.

WHAT: ecoMRKT, a sustainable pop-up marketplace
WHEN: Saturday, April 24, 11AM to 4PM
WHERE: outdoors at Edgewater Public Market (5505 W. 20th Avenue, Edgewater)

ecoMRKT is a sustainable pop-up marketplace featuring eco-friendly products and services from a variety of local vendors. Created and curated by Rachel Beck, founder and designer of Newd Elements, ecoMRKT aims to make environmentally friendly shopping easier by partnering with venues to highlight sustainable brands that offer eco-alternatives for everyday life.

Vendors participating in ecoMRKT at Edgewater Public Marketplace include:

  • The Happy Beetle / subscription door-to-door pickup of hard-to-recycle items
  • Moona Creations / recycled metal jewelry
  • Newd Elements / modern upcycled lifestyle goods
  • Reva Canali / organic baby goods
  • Scraps / composting service
  • Serendipity Catering / green catering and eco gift box services
  • Soul Bean Roasters / Fort Collins coffee bean roastery in compostable bags and coffee soap
  • Sustainable Supply Co. / circular & second-hand fashion
  • Wild Heart Fibers / macrame art made from found driftwood & recycled cord
  • Zeal Optics / plant-based sunnies

ecoMRKT will be right at home at Edgewater Public Market, whose full-time tenants include the second (and flagship) location of Zero Market, Colorado’s first zero waste shop; Artisans Thrive, whose mission is to accelerate the skills, income, and capacity for female artisans worldwide while emboldening customers to make ethical purchases; and Meta Burger, a 100% plant-based restaurant serving American classics.

On actual Earth Day, which is Thursday, April 22, Artisans Thrive is hosting a pop-up in their Edgewater boutique with House Americana.
