From Pints for Prostates:
Denver-based Woods Boss Brewing will host Kick the Kegs for a Cause at their new events space The Lodge at Woods Boss, on Nov 18 featuring eleven Colorado breweries, a silent auction and free onsite PSA testing for the first 50 men to sign up.
“With the cancellation or restriction of many larger beer festivals and events, small nonprofits like Pints for Prostates have been forced to limit their fundraising efforts in the COVID era.” said Chris Mendez, Colorado volunteer for Pints for Prostates. “Small events like this help us continue with our mission to reach men through the universal language of beer and support the fight against prostate cancer.” This event will follow all local, state and federal health and safety guidelines.
Kick the Kegs for a Cause will feature a silent auction of beers, breweriana, tours and experiences from over a dozen Colorado breweries. The guest tappings to be served alongside a selection of Woods Boss Brewing beers includes beers from:
- Bierstadt Lagerhaus
- Bruz Beers
- Goldspot Brewing
- Fiction Brewing
- FlyteCo Brewing
- Joyride Brewing
- Lady Justice Brewing
- Landlocked Ales
- Resolute Brewing
- Rock Bottom Brewing Denver
All guest pours will be $5, one hundred percent of the proceeds of guest taps and $1 from every Woods Boss beer sold during the event will be donated to Pints for Prostates. In addition, on-site PSA testing for up to fifty men will be provided completely free of charge by The Prostate Conditions Education Council (PCEC).
This event is non-ticketed and free entry and runs from 6-9 pm at The Lodge at Woods Boss, 675 22nd Avenue, Denver, CO. Final details, auction items and more can be found via on this Facebook event page.
Pints for Prostates is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity and all net proceeds from this event go towards the group’s awareness mission and help to fund the education and support programs of the Us TOO International Prostate Cancer Education and Support Network, and free prostate cancer screening programs provided by the Prostate Conditions Education Council.
