The T.L.C. Doll Hospital located at 2479 Sheridan Boulevard in Edgewater has just been listed for sale. The listing includes the nine parking spots to the north of the property. Over the years many cars have been towed from these spaces even though the spaces are marked as only for Doll Hospital customers.
Here’s our post from a few years ago on “How to Survive the Doll Hospital.”
We’ll see if the 9 parking spots included in the listing will be part of the sale of the property or if they will return to the City of Edgewater parking lot on the southwest corner of 25th and Sheridan.
What would you like to see the property become?
Joel has been a resident of Edgewater, Colorado with his family since 2012. He is the Executive Director of local education nonprofit Edgewater Collective and Editor of the Edgewater Echo.
Regarding the Doll Hospital property, the new 20th Depew (former King Soopers) retail and restaurant space has ample parking, yet Historic 25th Ave has SIGNIFICANTLY LESS parking, hence, the City of Edgewater should look at the possibility of Eminent Domain to secure 2479 Sheridan, pay value accordingly and design much needed parking (and reclaim those 9 parking spots (speaking as one of MANY UNFAIR/5 minute TOW VICTIMS) as obviously for this reason parking is scarce and needed, especially with in upcoming facelift and rehab of Historic 25th Ave“Mainstreet”… (and poetic parking justice…)
Great way to tell it like it is! 9 parking spots are extremely valuable and have been problematic for years. Thanks for your continued information.
We need a bakery in Edgewater…how about here?
We must purchase the doll property,we are so limit for parking. We had a bakery at one time.
