Are you addicting to daily online games like Wordle that work your brain in the morning? Do you like having your knowledge of historical events tested? You should check out Chrono, which was developed right here in Edgewater, Colorado.
Edgewater resident Tyler Wood developed the game with a friend after seeing the success of simple online games like Wordle. Wood explained, “It was originally just a fun learning project to see how simple a game like that could actually be to make — neither of us are front-end web engineers. We definitely underestimated the task. It’s been fun watching it grow. We have done very little to promote it beyond posting on our personal social media, but people started sharing their results online. In a little under a year it’s been played over 1.5 million times by about 225,000 different people.”
Visit https://chrono.quest and test your knowledge of historical events. Players have three tries to put the historical events in chronological order.
You can even support Tyler and their development team by buying them a coffee here.
Joel has been a resident of Edgewater, Colorado with his family since 2012. He is the Executive Director of local education nonprofit Edgewater Collective and Editor of the Edgewater Echo.
Thanks for sharing, Joel! Hope some people have fun playing.
Why is my chronoquest results not sharing via messages ???
Any thoughts on how to keep people from migrating to the NYT rip-off of Chrono, Flashback? This habit of overly large corporations absorbing the work of small businesses is annoying.
