Remember what life was like before the pandemic? Barquentine Brewing Company opened inside the Edgewater Public Market on February 29, 2020 just before the pandemic impacted all our lives. Along with many other vendors inside the Edgewater Public Market, Barquentine persevered against some big pandemic challenges and is celebrating their three year anniversary this Saturday, April 1.
Owner and Head Brewer Kyle Knudson explains their journey, “When I was preparing to open a brewery in 2020, I was really excited about crafting high quality beer. I’ve observed in the last 3 years that a caring, fun-to-be-around staff and a supportive and inclusive community is what Barquentine has really become. I’ve learned that a welcoming and comfortable space to celebrate, commiserate, and communicate is as important as the cold beer in the glass.”
This Saturday Barquentine Brewing will be celebrating their anniversary from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. featuring:
- Live Music from The One and Only Jon Ham (1-4 p.m.) and Barre Chord Bangers (4-6 p.m.)
- Special beer releases
- Live screen printing
- And maybe some sea shanties!
