If you’ve spent any amount of time in political and community circles around Edgewater over the last seventy years, you’ve heard or ran into Pauline York. Pauline has been involved in so many efforts in the Edgewater community from starting a senior recreation group to advocating for low-income senior housing and so much more. Pauline has made so much of an impact on the Edgewater community that the City of Edgewater named the street in front of the Edgewater Civic Center, Pauline York Drive. Today Edgewater community members and City staff came together to celebrate Pauline’s 90th birthday at the weekly Coffee and Conversation gathering.
