This Thursday is Leap Day, which means it is Barquentine Brewing Company‘s fourth anniversary of their opening on February 29, 2020 at the Edgewater Public Market. The anniversary events will start on Thursday, February 29 with a Barrel Aged-Tap Takeover with some of Barquentine’s rarest barrel-aged beers. There will be special commemorative glasses as well as a free beer for any fellow Leaplings.
Then on Saturday, March 2 the Annual Anniversary Parking Lot Party will feature Nomad Neighbors (12-2:30 p.m.) and 90% Nineties (3PM-5:30 p.m.) along with specialty offerings from the Edgewater Public Market vendors.
We asked Co-Founder and Head Brewer Kyle Knudson about the anniversary, “As we approach our first Leap Day since opening on February 29th, 2020, we’ve realized the value of staying connected to our local community. Our Edgewater regulars mean the world to us, and we prioritize their needs above everything else. By sourcing local ingredients and supporting nearby vendors, we not only ensure freshness but also contribute to our community’s economy. We’ve embraced the importance of listening to our residents and crafting events that promote inclusivity, family, and community engagement. Giving back is a core part of our ethos, and we focus our charitable efforts within our local area whenever possible. We’re committed to being a positive force in our neighborhood and beyond.”
So let’s walk or roll on down to Barquentine Brewing Company and celebrate!
