The Jefferson Junior/Senior High School wrestling team continued their success with three wrestlers winning state titles over the weekend. John Vigil won his second unified wrestling title. Senior Enrique Soto became a state champion at 113 pounds. Junior Samuel Rosales also won a state title at 126 pounds, making him a two-time state champion.
Consolation championships finished with Isaiah Gallegos taking 3rd at 132 and Joseph Salazar also taking 3rd at 138.
The Jefferson boys wrestlers came in 7th in the team standings. Jefferson wrestlers are led by Head Coach Oscar Fonseca.
