The Edgewater City Council will meet for a Business Meeting and Work Session on Tuesday, March 19 starting at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will be held virtually and in-person.
Before the Council meeting, City Council will meet as the Liquor License Authority at 6 p.m. They will be discussing and making a decision on the Modification of Premises for Rupert’s at 2045 Sheridan Blvd. Unit #F. Ohana Grille (Unit #F) has closed and Rupert’s will be expanding into the space with new concepts.
In a letter included in the application, Jeff Anema, General Manager of Rupert’s, explained the expansion, “It isn’t an outright expansion, where we are just extending the dining room of Rupert’s. Instead, we are opening the other side as a Coffeeshop/Grab and Go foods/Bar/Delivery Food Kitchen. We will have baristas/bartenders and would love to sell alcohol beverages to our guests who are on the wait list for our busy weekend and give them a relaxing place to wait for a table to open up, or just hang out and enjoy the views of Sloan’s Lake without the hustle and bustle of the main restaurant.”
During the Business Meeting, Edgewater City Council will receive presentations on the Restorative Justice Program from Chief Sonstegard and a Comprehensive Plan Update. They will also hear updates to the History, Arts, Recreation, and Parks (HARP) Board bylaws.
During the Work Session, City Council will discuss potential updates to the Patio Permit Criteria. As construction continues on West 25th Avenue, there will be an opportunity for businesses to utilize the patio spaces.
