Join Sloan’s Lake Park Foundation for their annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 21!
11:00am – 12:30pm Park & Lake Clean up
We provide pickers, Bags & Gloves so we can clean the park and lake to keep it healthy! You can help us by bringing your own bags and gloves. Sign up at the button below, and make sure to sign the Denver Parks & Rec waiver and bring it with you on the day.
12:30pm – 2:00pm Free Education Lake Walk
Join us to learn about our amazing lake – Including the history of the lake’s amusement park, gun club, boating and even Roger the Elephant! We also cover the not so great years and the problems the lake is facing, and the proposed solutions to get it back to health. We do 4 stops along the walk, bring your friends and your questions about the lake and its history!
Featuring Special Guest David Forsyth, Author of the new best seller book ‘The Amusement Park at Sloan’s Lake’, talking about the history of Manhattan Beach at Sloan’s Lake.
