* from Jeffco Public Schools Chalk Talk Parent Newsletter
The process to choose a new superintendent for Jeffco Public Schools is now underway. Members of the Jefferson County Board of Education have hired Ray and Associates, Inc. to lead that work; input from parents is critically important in selecting a new superintendent. Parents and community members are encouraged to participate by attending open forums on Tuesday, March 18 and Wednesday, March 19. During the forums, parents will learn about the search process, the timeline and have a dialogue about qualities they would like to see in Jeffco’s next superintendent. The forums will be held at the following days:
Tuesday, March 18
- Education Center Board Room, 5th floor, 1829 Denver West Drive, Golden: 9-10 a.m.
- Alameda International High School auditorium, 1255 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood: 7-8 p.m.
- Conifer High School auditorium, 10441 County Hwy #73, Conifer: 7-8 p.m.
Wednesday, March 19
- Education Center Board Room, 5th Floor: 9-10 a.m.
- Dakota Ridge High School auditorium, 13399 W. Coal Mine Ave., Littleton: 7-8 p.m.
- Arvada West High School auditorium, 11595 Allendale Drive, Arvada: 7-8 p.m.
Parents and community members can also give input by completing a confidential online survey. A Spanish version of the survey is available here. The survey will ask what qualities you think are most important in the selection of a superintendent. The survey will be available until 8 a.m. on Friday, March 28. Thank you for being involved in this important work.
