Two-way Dual Language: Kindergarten-2nd Grades for 2021-2022 School Year
A Two-Way program includes families who are native or dominant Spanish speakers and native or dominant English speakers. Students in our Two-Way program receive 50% of their instruction in Spanish and 50% in English from kindergarten through sixth grade. Each year, we add another grade level to our Two-Way program as our students transition to the next grade. Our goal is to have full implementation of our Two-Way program from Preschool-6th grade by 2025.

Two-Way Dual Language Preschool
Beginning in 2021-2022, Edgewater’s preschool will only offer a full day Two-Way Dual Language Program. Students will be immersed in Spanish 90% of the school day with 10% of the day in English for all. This will prepare students to continue in our Two-Way Dual Language Program through 6th grade. The goal of the Two-Way Dual Language Program in Preschool is to continue to develop the Spanish language for our native Spanish speakers and to create a Spanish immersion experience for our native English speakers. Space will be limited to 32 students and families must enroll their students through Enroll Jeffco.
