ADULT SPORTS
Co-ed Softball
– Registration for Co-ed softball has extended until Friday, March 27th. If you’ve been thinking about getting a team together, now is your chance. We need a couple of more teams for this league to get rolling. Please register soon or call if you have any questions.
-Co-ed league runs on Monday nights starting April 6 and game times run anywhere from 6-10pm.
Men’s Softball
-Men’s softball has filled up quickly this year. We are already getting teams signing up for the fall league so please sign up for the fall league if you were event thinking about it before that fills up as well. Men’s league games run Thursday nights starting April 9th.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Youth Egg Hunt & Dog Treat Hunt
When: Saturday, April 4th at 10am
Where: Citizen’s Park (24th and Chase St.)
What: Our annual youth egg hunt and dog treat hunt is back. Bring the family out for a great day of music and of course…EGG HUNTING!! There will be age grouped areas and we have a lot of eggs to hide. Please show up early because we start promptly at 10am and go until the last egg is found. After you find your eggs, come back to the pavillion area and take your picture with the BUNNY who is making another special appearance this year.
Immediately following the egg hunt we will have a dog treat hunt with treats brought to you and sponsored from Petsmart. All dogs must be on a lease in order to take part.
This has been a great event for the whole family to start off your holiday weekend.
YOUTH SPORTS & YOUTH DANCE
Youth Soccer
Registration ends: April 24th (REGISTER SOON)
Where: Citizen’s Park (24th and Chase St.)
Ages: 5-6, 7-9, 10-12
What: our youth soccer program is our most popular program here in Edgewater. Participants will be learning the basics of the sport of soccer from ball control, kicking, passing, and shooting. Everyone is welcome in this program whether you’ve never touched a soccer ball or if you’ve been playing for a couple of years now. We look forward to watching the participants grow throughout the season. Sign up soon.
Practices will be held on Wednesday evening and games will be on Saturdays.
Jr. Cheerleading/Cheerleading
Registration ends: March 27th
Where: Recreation Room (5845 W. 25th Ave)
What: Cheerleading has come to Edgewater. With this new program in Edgewater brought to you by Dance Exploration, particpants will get the opportunity to learn basic formations and during certain class, even attend an Edgewater youth sports competition to show off your team spirit.
Classes are held on Thursday evenings.
Jr. Hip Hop/ Hip Hop
Registration ends: March 27th
Where: Recreation Room (5845 W. 25th Ave)
What: Jr. Hip Hop and Hip Hop classes has started to grow here in Edgewater. Learning the basic movements of the dance, hip hoppers have even performed at our annual Holiday LIghting ceremony. Class are on Tuesday nights.
Creative Movement/Pre-Ballet
Registration end: March 27th
Where: Recreation Room (5845 W. 25th Ave)
What: Creative Movement and Pre-ballet classes are constantly a class to be in every year. Creative movement starts with basic movements and progress into Pre-ballet where participants will learn more complicated movements and formations, as well as class etiquette. Please sign up soon as eac h class fills up quickly. Our great instructor Ms. Jackie loves to t each this class and it shows with her students. These classes are held on either a Monday night or Wednesday night.
Ballet

What: Ballet program has been new to us this year in Edgewater. We’ve had our Creative Movement and Pre-ballet participatns who have grown up with Ms. Jackie and were looking for soemthing more. Well, this is the class for you. Ballet classes will run on Monday evenings. Sign up soon to hold your spot. Ballet slippers are required for this class. Your instructor, Ms. Jackie, will help you on where to find the right pair.
