Mourning with the LGBTQ+ Community

Edgewater Mayor John Beltrone’s Statement of Support and Strength:

“My heart goes out to the victims and families of the Club Q gun violence in Colorado Springs. I recognize that all of us, especially those in the Edgewater LGBTQ+ community are in pain. The metal health impacts of mass shootings and hate crimes are real. As we process this pain, let’s find comfort in friends and family, hope in the kindness of our neighbors, and strength knowing we will continue to strive for a better future.

The City of Edgewater has lowered flags, following a request from Governor Jared Polis, in a show or respect and solidarity for the LGBTQ+ community. Below is a list of a few resources available.”
