The Edgewater Police Report from Chief John Hough:

On May 22, 2015, at about 1:10 AM an officer on routine patrol noticed a vehicle weaving in lanes of traffic in the 5500 block of W. 20th Avenue. When the officer contacted the driver, a 33-year-old male resident of Wheat Ridge, he was arrested and issued a Jefferson County Court summons for failing to operate his vehicle in a single lane of traffic, failing to present evidence of vehicle insurance upon request, operating a vehicle after his license was revoked as an habitual traffic offender and DUI. Due to his level of intoxication, the driver was transported to a local detox facility. An additional felony charge of aggravated DUI is pending due to the driver’s history of driving offenses and his status as an habitual traffic offender.

On May 25, 2015, at about 12:45 AM, an officer on routine patrol noticed a vehicle make an illegal U-turn in the 5200 block of W. 20th Avenue. When the officer contacted the driver, a 37-year-old male resident of Denver, he was arrested and issued a Jefferson County Court summons for making an illegal U-turn, failing to present evidence of vehicle insurance upon request and DUI. The driver was transported to a local detox facility due to his level of intoxication.
