Our Edgewater community is transitioning with new residents moving in every week and home prices are steadily rising. New businesses are opening and the economy in the area is on the upswing. But there are families in the area who are left behind. Students and families in our Jefferson Area schools are working hard every day to overcome roadblocks to success.
This Thanksgiving season, teachers and staff at Jefferson Junior/Senior High are putting together Thanksgiving baskets for families that are working hard to make ends meet. They are looking for donations so they can go out and purchase the items necessary to provide a Thanksgiving dinner for local families.
If interested in donating, contact Nicole Kostra at Jefferson Junior/Senior High by phone (303-982-6164) or email (nkostra@jeffco.k12.co.us). Donations need to be made by November 18 as baskets will be delivered on November 20.
