This week it was announced that Jefferson Junior/Senior High School Volleyball Coach Allison Goecks has won the October Coach of the Month Award from the John Lynch Foundation. Coach Goecks is also a math teacher at Jefferson Junior/Senior High School.
Jefferson Athletic Director Brendan Netherton nominated Goecks for the award. According to Netherton, “The Jefferson Saints Volleyball program from 2007-2016 had a record of 21-160. When Coach Goecks took over the volleyball program three seasons ago, the Lady Saints showed improvement year to year and led the Lady Saints to the program’s first winning season in over a decade by going 15-7.”
Joel has been a resident of Edgewater, Colorado with his family since 2012. He is the Executive Director of local education nonprofit Edgewater Collective and Editor of the Edgewater Echo.
