Volunteers Needed for Edgewater Alley Cleanup Day: Please join us for a community alley cleanup day on Sunday, April 29th. Volunteers will be assigned alleys to cleanup within the City of Edgewater. Please meet at Memorial Park (corner of 25th Ave. and Chase St.) at 2pm on the 29th.

City Clean-Up Event: The City of Edgewater in conjunction with Republic Services will again be offering the spring clean-up event. Alley way pick-up is scheduled for Monday, April 30th with the dumpster drop off scheduled on Saturday May 5th. Please visit www.edgewaterco.com for information on what can be picked up or dropped off.
City Trash Service: Trash and recycling pick-up for City contracted services, through Republic Services, is and will stay on Thursdays. Republic services is changing some pick-up dates for areas around Edgewater, so a few addresses on the borders may receive a post card or a robo-call about a change in service day. Please disregard this if you are receiving trash service through the Edgewater contract (billed on your Edgewater Utility bill).

Community Survey: You may have received a letter or an email inviting you to participate in the 2018 Edgewater Community Survey. Please respond! Your input is extremely valuable. Don’t pass on the opportunity to have your voice heard. Note: Survey is available in English and Spanish.
Parks and Recreation Department
Day of Service: VOLUNTEERS needed! Join us on Saturday April 28th for the annual Spring Day of Service. Many seniors, living in their homes, could use a hand with basic spring outdoor chores, so we are providing the muscle to help deserving Seniors! Raking, Window Washing, Sweeping and Small Outdoor Projects. For more information please see the City web site at www.edgewaterco.com.
Youth Soccer: Registration for youth soccer ends on May 6th. For Spring 2018 Edgewater will be offering a 5-6, 7-9, and 10-12-year-old leagues. Each age group will have 8 weeks of practice and 6 weeks of games. Soccer practices will be on Wednesday nights and games will take place Saturday mornings. Senior TRIP: Our next senior trip takes place on May 17th to the Argo Gold Mine. We will be leaving at 10am and coming back late afternoon. Please register online at www.playedgewater.com or register at the Municipal Building located at 2401 Sheridan Blvd.
Parks: Parks and Recreation staff are getting into the spring season and in the process of getting all parks cleaned up from the winter. We have aerated all the grassy areas and are continuing to remove weeds from public facilities. A special thanks to Jefferson High School and their volunteer crew for cleaning up around the parks and City Hall this week.
Reminder to all residents that enjoy our parks with their pets, please clean up after them. We have 3 dog bag stations at Citizen’s Park. One at each sidewalk entrance to the park and one at Memorial Park. Please help us keep all the parks and open spaces clean for everyone to enjoy and be respectful of your neighbors.

Code Violation Reporting: Just a reminder that if you see any code issues please contact code enforcement by email at codeenforcement@edgewaterco.com or by phone at 720-459-3297.
Graffiti: It is imperative to take care of graffiti issues as soon as possible. The City of Edgewater has a graffiti removal program for residents. Should a participant in this program have graffiti on their property, the City will either match paint (as close as possible), or use a spray to remove the graffiti. In order to take part in the program you will need to submit a form with a signature from the property owner. To receive a form, please call our code enforcer at 720-459-3297 or pick one up at 2401 Sheridan.
