Street/ Alley Maintenance: The City of Edgewater will be working with a vendor to provide crack sealing on streets and alleys throughout Edgewater, throughout the next month. Crack sealing is an important step in protecting the integrity of our asphalt and prolonging the life of the investment the City has made over the past five years. The process will involve cleaning of cracks and the filling cracks with asphalt sealant. The process will not provide prolonged street/ alley closures and will be limited to small areas for short periods of time. If there are any questions or concerns with this process, please call 720-763-3012. Thank you for your patience with this process.

City Trash Service: Trash and recycling pick-up for City contracted services, through Republic Services, is and will stay on Thursdays. Republic services is changing some pick-up dates for areas around Edgewater, so a few addresses on the borders may receive a post card or a robo-call about a change in service day. Please disregard this if you are receiving trash service through the Edgewater contract (billed on your Edgewater Utility bill).

Summer Watering: It’s drier than usual this year, and we need everyone to use water efficiently. As warmer weather approaches, we’re reminded just how important it is to use water wisely. Past, present and future: Water connects us all. Below are some points to remember when watering this summer.

  • Water during cooler times of the day — lawn watering is not allowed between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Water no more than three days per week.
  • Do not allow water to pool in gutters, streets and alleys.
  • Do not waste water by letting it spray on concrete and asphalt.
  • Repair leaking sprinkler systems within 10 days.
  • Do not irrigate while it is raining or during high winds.
  • Use a hose nozzle with a shut-off valve when washing your car.
