Edgewater City Weekly: March 2, 2018

From the City of Edgewater:

City Clerk

City Council Vacancy: On February 1, 2018, City Council declared a City Council Vacancy.  At the March 1, 2018, City Council meeting, Council moved to have that vacancy posted and published until March 28, 2018.  Visit the City’s website to view the Vacancy Notice and application (www.edgewaterco.com).

Public Works and Utilities

New Employee: The Public Works Department hired a new employee this past week, Rick Lucero. Rick comes from a construction background and has already become a great asset to the Public Works Department.

Designated Snow Routes: We all enjoy safe and snow cleared roadways.  To maintain wide plowed snow routes, we ask that vehicles park along Streets, rather than Avenues.  Help our plow drivers keep you safe!

Code Enforcement

Snow and Ice Removal: With the current weather, we would like to remind all residents of their duty to keep sidewalks adjacent to any lot or parcel free and clear of snow and ice. Keeping sidewalks clear not only provides safe access to your property, but also contributes to the safety of the neighborhood. Residents failing to maintain a clear sidewalk will be warned and following a single warning will be cited under section 11-2-40 of the Edgewater municipal Code.

Parks and Recreation

Adult Men’s and Co-ed Softball: Registration is underway.  Each softball season is set for an 8-week season of league play followed by a single elimination tournament.  The 2018 softball season will start the second week in April.  $525 per team, 20 players per team on the roster.  Registration ends April 1st.

Building & Planning
