Blues n’ BBQ: Blues n BBQ will be held at Citizen’s Park this Saturday (July 21st) from 11am – 8pm. Tickets are $10 for an all-day event where you can enjoy 9 local bands, amazing food vendors, local breweries and incredible artisans. Colorado Scottish Festival: The 55th Annual Colorado Scottish Festival is coming to Edgewater. Brought to you by the St. Andrew’s Society of Colorado, The Colorado Scottish Festival and Rocky Mountain Highland Games will take place on August 4-5th at Citizen’s Park. A single day pass will cost $10 or a $20 weekend pass. Children 12-17 years old and seniors 65 and older along with active military or first responders are $5 for a single day pass. Children under 12 are free. Come and enjoy the experience of Highland Dancing, Piping and Drumming, Renaissance Scots, Scottish Athletics, Whisky Tasting, British Car Show and many more vendors to explore. Public Works Department
Street Sweeping Routing: Due to new equipment, staff is working on a new route plan. We have spent the past two months testing the new equipment with previous route plans. The August sweeping will consider a new route that will be published within the next week. The new route will provide more efficient sweeping while utilizing the new sweeper.
Code Enforcement
Trash in Alleys: Please make sure all trash is in your trash and recycle containers. Trash and/or recycling not inside containers will not be picked up and you could receive a Code Violation if it is not cleaned up.
Weeds/ Grass: All grass and weeds on your property, including alleys and right of ways, must be kept trimmed below eight inches.
Trees: All trees with branches hanging over sidewalks must not obstruct any part of the sidewalk. All branches must be maintained 8 feet above sidewalks. Trees with branches hanging over streets must be maintained so branches are 15 feet above street.
Graffiti: If you see graffiti anywhere in the city, whether it is on your property, a neighbor, or city property, please report it immediately so it can be removed as soon as possible.
