Community Garage Sale: The City of Edgewater will be hosting another City-wide Garage Sale at your house on September 29th! The city-wide garage sale gives an opportunity for all residents to draw more people to the neighborhood looking for garage sale items. Please register your house at www.playedgewater.com under “Community Garage Sale” and the City will have residents that will be hosting garage sales on a map to be handed out and online for printing.

Jefferson County Library

Hiring: The Jefferson County Public Library is seeking dynamic, customer-focused Patron Experience Associates to provide frontline library service at our new location in the Edgewater Civic Center. Helping people find the information they need – whether it be what to read next, how to download an e-book or how to find a job – is what we do all day, every day. This is going to be an incredible library, serving one of Jefferson County’s most diverse and engaged communities. Openings include full time and part time positions with benefits. Some positions require bilingual speaking, reading and writing skills in English/Spanish to help us serve our community needs.

Public Works

Fall Clean-Up: SAVE THE DATE! The City of Edgewater provides two clean-up events each year. Both events consist of an alley way pick-up and a one-day large item drop-off. The alley pick-up will be on Monday, October 1st, with items required to be placed for pick-up by 7:00am; and the drop-off date is Saturday, October 6th from 9am -1pm at 5505 W. 20th Ave. (the old King Sooper’s, entrance off of 22nd Ave and Benton St.). The drop-off location will also have paper shredding, electronic recycling and metal recycling available. For questions please call 720-763-3012.

Meter Reading Week: September 17-21 is water meter reading week, the third full week of the month. City staff will be walking the city, going house to house to read water meters. Meter reading staff will have orange vests on with an Edgewater logo and “Meter Reader” on the back. Please be sure to cut back the areas around your water meter sensor. Should you need help locating your water meter sensor, please call 720-763-3005.
