Code Enforcement
Trash and Recycling: As fall settles in and the weather turns cooler, it’s a good time to get rid of any trash, garbage, and junk that has accumulated over the summer months. Please ensure all outgoing weekly garbage is deposited in your trash containers, covered with a lid, and not lying on the ground next to the container. This also applies to recycling. Cardboard boxes are not acceptable. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in a code violation being issued.
Vehicle Storage: Any vehicles on your property not running or not used very often should always be covered with a cover manufactured for that specific purpose. Tarps are not permitted. Otherwise a code violation may be issued.
Public Works
Meter Reading Week: October 14-20 is water meter reading week, the third full week of the month. City staff will be walking the city, going house to house to read water meters. Meter reading staff will have orange vests on with an Edgewater logo and “Meter Reader” on the back. Please be sure to cut back the areas around your water meter sensor. Should you need help locating your water meter sensor, please call 720-763-3005.
